radio teleswitch or a radio teleswitch type
electricity meter, on 30th June 2025 the
signal that tells your meter to start providing
cheap rate electricity, and switches it off in
the morning, is being switched off.
Economy 7 has been with us for decades, but
its demise has not been very well advertised,
thousands of people could be left without any
heating or hot water after this date.
If you have storage heaters installed that charge
up overnight or, an economy 7 circuit to your
hot water cylinder, these will stop working after
this date. Lots of electricity supply companies
are using this situation and are insisting
customers upgrade to a smart meter. There
have been negative stories throughout all the
mainstream press regarding smart meters since
the government first introduced them and not
everybody is happy about having one installed.

insist that you have a smart meter installed.
